Dr. Gordon Huang is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Energy and Environment, and Executive Director of the Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Communities at the University of Regina, Canada. He holds BSC from Peking University (China), MSc from Simon Fraser University (Canada) and PhD from McMaster University (Canada). Since the 1990s, Huang has led or been involved in over 100 environment-related research projects, produced over 600 peer-refereed international journal papers, and supervised over 100 Master/PhD students. He is the president of the International Society for Environmental Information Sciences. He has also served the United Nations as an international expert in the field of risk management for drinking water safety. Dr. Khaled Galal Ahmed is Associate Professor and Coordinator of Architectural Engineering Master and PhD Programs. Dr. Khaled got his PhD from Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University, UK. He worked as an architect and urban designer and his research interest is in the fields of sustainable urbanism especially in Socio-Cultural Impact, Urban Modeling Simulation, Urban Morphology, and Urban Resilience. He published his research in international journals, conferences proceedings, and book chapters. Dr. Khaled teaches undergraduate and graduate courses related to architectural and urban design. He has supervised several Master theses and PhD Dissertations. Dr. Khaled has several articles in local and regional media including National Geographic Arabia. Dr. Wong Wah Sang joined the Department of Architecture of HKU as academic staff since 1990. He is currently Associate Professor of the Department. With more than 25 years of teaching experience, his range of teaching includes design studios (first to M Arch graduating years), technology, practices, history and theories. Students ranges from non-architectural students (broadening courses) to MPh and PhD candidates as well as joint teaching with other disciplines and other overseas universities. On various occasions, he had served as deputy head, acting head and acting dean for the Faculty of Architecture. He taught in various courses for design, technology and practices in the BAAS and MArch curriculum as well as acted as supervisor and examiner for MPh and PhD students in HKU. Prof. C.M. Wang is Professor in Structural Engineering, The University of Queensland. He is a Chartered Structural Engineer, a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering, a member of the European Academy of Science and Arts, a Fellow of Academy of Engineering Singapore, a Fellow of Institution of Structural Engineers, a Fellow of Institution of Engineers Singapore, and a Fellow of Society of Floating Solutions (Singapore). His research interests are in the areas of structural stability, vibration, optimization, plated structures and very large floating structures. He has published over 500 journal papers and co-authored 10 books such as Very Large Floating Structures, Structural Vibration, Shear Deformable Beams and Plates and Exact Solutions for Buckling of Structural Members. He is an Editor‐in‐Chief of the International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics and an Editorial Board Member in several journals including Engineering Structures, International Journal of Applied Mechanics, and Structures. He holds patents on floating structures. Currently, he is the Leader of the Offshore Engineering Programme of the Blue Economy Cooperative Research Centre that conducts research projects that combine seafood, renewable energy and offshore engineering for the first time, underpinned by a $70 million cash investment from the Australian Government and $259 million from industry partners over a 10-year period. He is a founding member and Engineering Science Leader of the International Engineering Science Consortium, First Vice President of the Society of Floating Solutions Singapore and the Chairman of East Asia Pacific Conference on Structural Engineering and Construction steering committee. He has won many awards that include the 2019 Nishino Medal, 2019 JN Reddy medal, Singapore’s Minister of National Development's R&D Award (Special Mention Category), IStructE Singapore Structural Awards, Keith Eaton Award, Lewis Kent Award, IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award, IES/IStructE Best Paper Award and the Grand Prize of the Next Generation Container Port Challenge. He was the consultant and advisor on many structural and floating projects that include the world’s largest floating performance stage at Marina Bay, multi-purpose floating structures research project funded by the Land and Liveability National Innovation Committee and JTC Corporation, Maritime and Port Authority’s project on uses of the underground space underneath container ports in Tuas, JTC project on floating hydrocarbon storage facility and HDB project on floating wetlands. He is currently conducting research on the next generation offshore fish pens and seaweed cultivation platforms.

Dr. Berardi is the current President of the Canadian Acoustical Association and of the International Association of Building Physics (IABP). Dr. Berardi has been Canada Research Chair in Building Science (from 2021 to August 2024) and Full Professor and Director of the BeTOP center at Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto, Canada (from August 2014 to August 2024). His main research interests are related to the study of innovative solutions and new materials for improving performance within the built environment. Er Quek is Deputy Managing Director and Senior Vice President of Fyfe Asia and Fibrwrap Construction Singapore and has almost 30 years of industry experience. Er Quek holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Civil Engineering from University of Leeds, UK. She was also on the Dean’s list two years consecutively and won a book prize in her final year. She has a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore. Being active in research and development she obtained a patent under her name in Fyfe Asia for Development of Beam – Column FRP Connections for Seismic Strengthening and has recently filed to apply for patent for brick wall in-plane and out-of-plane strengthening using composite ‘I’- sections incorporated with FRP. Besides these, she holds joint ownership of several other patents.

Prof. Qing Wang received his doctoral degree from the Tongji University for a work on interface strength of fiber-reinforced composites in 1996. In 1998, he became full Professor of Material Mechanics at the Shandong University of Technology, China. In 2000, he joined the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan. In 2014 he moved to Shandong University of Science and Technology, China, as Taishan Distinguished Professor. In 2017, he acted there as the Dean of the department of Materials Sci Eng. Now he works at Taishan University as the Director of the Institute of Advanced Engineering Materials and Structures. Prof. Qing Wang's main area of research is micro- and nano-fabrication and its application in advanced functional materials. Dr. Arash Karimi Pour got his Doctoral degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). He is the director of the Innovative Structural Engineering and Mechanics Center (ISEMC). He was a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Department of Civil Engineering at UTEP for four years. During this time, he did different projects for NASA, TxDOT and Army. He has started working at UTEP since 2019. I am an Associate Professor in Civil Engineering and a Chartered Civil Engineer. Prior to joining the University of Birmingham, I held the position of Reader in Civil Engineering at Brunel University London from 2017 to 2023. Prof. Bashir Saleh, Associate Professor and Head of the Building Department at Tripoli's Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies Dr. Bashir Saleh received his Ph.D. in 2013 from Warsaw University of Technology in the subject of designing buildings exposed to severe events (explosions and fires) utilizing modeling, simulation, and experimental tests. In 2007, he earned his Master of Science in Structural Engineering, concentrating in high-rise building design utilizing the European Code for Composite Materials for Steel and Concrete. He was a non-resident professor at the University of Cape Town in South Africa and Osaka in Japan before joining the Libyan Advanced Center for Technical Education in 2014. Hamid Saadatmanesh, Ph.D., P.E. is a Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Arizona, and CEO of CarboShield, Inc., a company specialized in the utilization of advanced carbon fiber composites for infrastructure applications. Dr. Saadatmanesh’s principal field of expertise is in application of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite materials in civil engineering. He has pioneered many innovative applications of FRPs in construction and has published over two hundred technical articles on this subject. Ahmed completed his MSc in Geotechnical Engineering in 2020 and is currently a PhD candidate in Geotechnical Engineering. Alongside his research responsibilities, he works as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Geoharbour Middle East.

Arturo Espitia is the lead highway project engineer for the National Infrastructure Agency - ANI of Colombia. He is a professional civil engineer and Road Infrastructure Specialist from the UPTC University dedicated to solid training in road project management with a territorial focus, backed by more than 9 years of higher education and more than eleven years of experience in processes related to execution, monitoring and control of civil works, through the coordination of technical-administrative audits, especially in road infrastructure and pavements. As a Territorial Management and Planning Specialist at the Universidad de los Andes, he is currently focused on improving the methodology for managing road projects through public-private partnerships adjusted to the public policies of the current Colombian government. His work has had a great impact on the mobility of the Colombian territory and has contributed to improving the productivity and quality of life of the most remote communities in its country.

Prof. Khatib has over 500 publications, over 12,000 citations & Scopus h-index of 30. He is an editor of 5 books and on the editorial board of a number of academic journals. He reviews articles for 300 academic journals. Prof Khatib is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers in the UK and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy-UK. Stanford University ranked Prof. Khatib as one the top 2% researchers in the world in Building and Construction. According to Publons (Web of Science), Jamal is classified as top 1% civil engineering reviewers globally. He is a recipient of research funds from the European Union, Royal Society, British Council and the Institution of Structural Engineers. He established research links with universities in China, Algeria, India, Turkey, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Iraq, Ukraine, US, Canada, France, Finland, Portugal, Slovenia, South Africa, Brazil & Australia. Prof Khatib is an Honorary Professor of the Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology in China, a Visiting Professor of Shanghai Jin Tao University in China and the University of La Rochelle in France.
